The Mustard Prophecy

Two days after Halloween, nineteen-year old Alex Bender arrives at The First Presbyterian Church of Dyer, Indiana for his exorcism.  His college roommates didn’t know where he ran to after taking an accidental overdose of LSD at a costume party.  A day later, his father didn’t know why his son was carrying around a knife in one hand and a Bible in the other.  The Presbyterian Minister didn’t know why Alex had shown up that morning with urine-soaked jeans and refers him to a nearby hospital.  Under observation, Alex must stop the apocalypse with condiments and playing cards before the psychiatric nurses and orderlies stop him.  He understands how salt, mustard, and the Queen of Hearts are necessary ingredients to extract the alien seed before it calls the Nephilim back to Earth.  He understands the role his isolated childhood, his bipolar mother and his rampant drug abuse are part of an embedded code he must unravel to perform the ritual.  He understands the connection between Biblical prophecies and the lyrics of the rock band Gypsy Sun and how they relate to his ultimate purpose.  His psychiatrist is not optimistic about his recovery.
